JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK IT...

Right now our collective imaginations are running wild as we try to predict what will happen in the future.

Some people are coming up with all sorts of horror stories as to how things will pan out.

We’re doing this because we’ve never been through anything like this before. It’s our lack of experience of the situation that causes us to fear what might be around the corner.

However, our lack of experience is also what allows us to calm down.
No, your mind isn’t trying to freak you out and create unnecessary anxiety just to spite yourself.
Your mind isn’t trying to destroy you, and it isn’t lying to you... it just gets things wrong ALL THE TIME!

The very fact that we have no idea what will happen is the exact reason why we can stop concerning ourselves with trying to predict the future.
We know we can’t do that.
We know whatever we come up with will very probably be wrong.

The simple truth is that just because we think it doesn’t make it true.

The only thing we can say for absolute certainty is that any energy we spend trying to predict the future is energy wasted. It’s energy that would be better spent looking after the things we can control and take action on.

Those things aren’t anything to do with the world around us and they aren’t anything to do with what other people are doing.

They are to do with our own actions and our own responses.

Your mind is capable of coming up with some truly amazing imaginings.
The good news is that imagination and reality are two different things.

Just because you think doesn’t make it true.
