She finds most people she works with are looking for internal peace and happiness and to make change in one or more areas of their lives by resolving issues that are holding them back.
Emma has an MSc in Mental Health Counselling and over 20 years of experience as a Speech & Language Therapist in the NHS. For the last 6 years she has been a Counsellor at Safeline, buildings her knowledge of neuroscience and how to heal the impact of trauma. In 2019 she brought all her experience together to set-up her private practice, maintaining a special interest in the interplay between mental and physical health.
Her clinical experience over many years has taught her that understanding an issue is only the first step to change. She was drawn to train as a hypnotherapist as she deepened her understanding about how the minds actually works. The conscious (thinking mind) and the subconscious (emotional mind) need to be aligned and it is the subconscious mind that runs the show. Accessing the subconscious mind, which is in-charge of habits and automatic patterns of thought and behaviour is key to change. She has added the beautifully crafted and streamlined approach of the Control System to her practice.
Together we can upgrade your thinking and achieve your desired reality instead of continuing to run outdated programmes on autopilot. There is far more to you than you have imagined … up to now.
"Working with Emma feels like one of life’s small miracles. She is a skilled professional but also so much more. She has intuition, empathy and a rare ability to find the heart of an issue as well as the ability to fix it. She has rid me of those deeply held but only half acknowledged illogical beliefs and thought patterns that cast a shadow over one’s self esteem and take the edge off the joy life has to offer. The whole process has been a pleasure and a revelation and I’m so grateful that our paths crossed."
"My work with Emma, through her counselling, hypnotherapy and awareness of the subconscious mind has changed my anxiety from, overwhelming and debilitating, to having the appropriate response to stressful situations.
Her understanding and caring approach gave me confidence to try her techniques, and I can honestly say it has made such a positive difference in my life."
"Having gone to see Emma about my addiction , it soon transpired that was just a cover for my other issues in my life! Once Emma got me to listen to my sub conscious, open up and let go of the things that wasn’t important, everything fell into place. I’m much happier with myself, which in turn, I now realise I can deal with things with a more positive outlook. Thank you Emma"
